It was very much a vintage flea market, with lots of cool pieces. Had a few crafters; paper goods and jewelry. And a large variety of food vendors (which turned out to be our favorite part). If I have the time I'm definitely going back to scope out the larger items. We had metro'd in and there was no way of getting anything larger than my purse home.
I ended up walking away with some wood block letterpress pieces. The vendor had over 6 tables worth and I could have over-loaded on blocks but instead got a small set:
Now let's talk about the food! We did not come here for this reason at all. In fact our next stop was to have food and beer but it was so hard to resist.
ChurchKey - They stopped us first, had a great customer service guy right out front telling us 'come on, he deserves a beer for coming with you' and well I couldn't argue with that. The hubby had a beer called Justin Blåbær by Evil Twin Brewery. It was labelled under their 'tart & funky' section and was it. It had a mild blueberry taste, but a overall sour/sweetness taste.
Red Apron - Out of all the food vendors we went with Red Apron they had a great selection of hot dogs but the one that definitely stood out was the curry hot dog with whipped feta and tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. You had at whipped feta; it was amazing! We were sad we agreed on splitting one, and I was extra sad because I let him have the first 'half'!
Milk Cult - This was a vendor I had heard about before and was told their ice cream was fantastic ... and it was. The hubby got honey ice cream/cornflake ice cream sandwich. I went with 2 scoops of Nutella. I think I won here, it was very creamy, great texture, and overall great taste.
I love being spontaneous on a Saturday morning, it's the small things in life.
