Woot! Wine! The gift that everyone loves. For this occasion it was my cousin's birthday and I wanted to fancy up the 'presentation' rather than just pull out the bottles from a brown paper bag. I found a tutorial from Martha Stewart and thought it was a great idea but not everyone has a need for a table cloth; if I was going to a picnic/party perhaps. I thought a scarf might work instead. I was hoping to find a square scarf to mimic the tablecloth but alas Target had none. I ended up choosing a long rectangular shaped scarf. I modified the tutorial a little bit to fit the new shape.
- Buy some wine! I judge a book by it's cover, and I judge my wine by it's label. I like the typography on the left bottle and the illustration on the right bottle.
- Grab a scarf. I went with a long rectangular shape but you can also use a square-shaped scarf.
- Lay the scarf out flat. In the very middle, on the long edge stand the wine bottles next to each other.
- Now lay the two bottles down on their sides; making sure to maintain the gap between the ends.
- Roll the bottles forward until all the fabric is wrapped around.
- With the seam facing in take hold of the necks of the bottles and stand upright. Depending on how long the scarf was you can tie ends in a double-knot, if longer a nice bow.
